Body Wisdom for Soul Care Practitioners

As soul care practitioners and citizens of the modern world we often live entirely from our heads and forget the tremendous wisdom our bodies offer to us for engaged and vital living. When we slow down and make space to reconnect with our own bodies in deeply nourishing and restorative ways we also witness to a different relationship with our clients and find ourselves with more joy and purpose in our work.
This highly experiential retreat will invite you into a safe and sacred space where we cultivate a community of support in listening to what our bodies need from moment to moment. This tuning in only comes from slowing down and engaging in practices which really help us to drop down from our thinking, chattering minds, into the deep pool of stillness and refreshment our bodies offer to us.

SpiritPlay Classes
SpiritPlay is a festive blend of InterPlay* and ministry and has become a staple of Seattle’s InterPlay offerings. Now in our eleventh year – we have developed a wonderful community of faith and foolishness. In our monthly class, we explore how the spontaneity of InterPlay interfaces with the tradition of Christianity. We find ourselves diving into the lectionary, exploring sacred stories, dancing through the cycle of seasons, loosening our tongues, singing our souls and improvising in prayer. Together, we practice opening the doors to an embodied church!

I’ve been dancing at the LA Congress for over a dozen years now, and still find it to be one of my most enlivening creative commitments – truly makes me proud to be Catholic! I’ll be dancing at liturgies throughout the congress and offering two movement workshops. Come be inspired by musicians, dancers, speakers, prayer and celebration!
