Betsey, Betsey,
How I remember those days at Bellarmine when you were a member of
the Fountain Square Fools…..I also remember the years that your Uncle Bob
was the rector at the Jesuit Community. I have such fond fond memories of just how proud he was of you, speaking of you, telling what you were doing…..He spoke of you with such delight in his eyes, Betsey….
I am presently a massage therapist providing massage care for firefighters in the Cincinnati area. It is wonderful work….I also want you to know that my Dad was a pianist in a 17- piece orchestra on Saturday nights before Saturday night Masses, and an organist for all the Masses on Sunday a.m…..so I too grew up in a wonderful musical atmosphere….with musicians in and out of our home…..I thought of them as my Aunts and Uncles…..It was wonderful….
You such a lovely lovely career and profession and ministry !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sister Mary Lou, thanks so much for sharing your wonderful memories! The Fountain Square Fools were such a foundational piece in my own development spiritually and artistically. I still love working with Michael Sparough – and he will share the “bill” with me in our next video on the Woman at the Well!
Also, thanks for your clear reflection of Uncle Bob’s love for me! Dear Uncle Bob is now living in the Jesuit Retirement Community at Columbierre – as his memory continues to fade. But he is still full of wondrous joy of sharing God’s light and life!
How wonderful to hear about your ministry of massage therapy – another potent support for embodiment in our world! I so appreciate your reaching out – and perhaps our paths will cross in Cincinnati. Love and blessings to you on the journey!
I grew up feeling called to be a priest and when I found out that one had to be male to become one, I became estranged from my body. Only lately I’ve come to appreciate my body again, but it is hard work. Dancing helps me for sure. Seeing you dance in such an inspiring way is a great aid.
Let everyone dance like David danced in front of the ark! I’m so happy you’re leading the way.
Thank you Betsey, may God bless you and your ministry!
Hi Betsey, your workshop yesterday in Vancouver was a delight! I hope you will come again.
